The fastest option from the capital. Direct trains run frequently from Warszawa Centralna to Łódź Fabryczna, taking roughly 1 h 30 mins. Łódź Fabryczna, the closest station to the campus, is a modern underground terminal in the city centre, less than half an hour walking to the Faculty. Tickets can be booked online through the website rozklad-pkp.pl of the Polish national rail operator.

The nearest major international gateway is Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW), with the widest range of connections. From the airport, take a train or transfer to Warszawa Centralna and continue to Łódź by rail (see above).

Warsaw Modlin (WMI) is a convenient alternative for low-cost carriers. Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport (LCJ) is closest to the venue but serves only a small number of seasonal routes.

Kraków (KRK) and Katowice (KTW) are further options, each roughly 2–3 hours from Łódź by train or coach.

Łódź has an extensive network of trams and buses, and taxis and ride-hailing apps are widely available. The Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics is well served by public transport from the city centre and main railway stations.

A range of hotels and guesthouses is available in central Łódź, many within easy reach of the venue. A short list of recommended options, together with any negotiated rates, will be published here closer to the workshop.
